War in Iraq

I really wish this war would end. This is not about weapons. My concern is what about the children who need to be in school. I have never been in an war zone, but how are they able to learn and cope with what is going on aound them. I am really looking into more information to help them.

Stressors on Children’s Development.

I have a childhood friend who always had the best of everything, her family had more money then I have ever seen. They used to party and go out of town. I can remember my mother talking about how they need to save money. As the yeas passed, a tragic happend and they ran out of money. They where out on the street and hungy. My mother was kind enough to let them stay with us. She fed them and clothed them. i could not undestand how they became homiless. My firend was a straight A student, but once this happend he grades slipped. I seen the toil this bad circumstance took on her. They only stayed with us for a year. Today my firned has learned from her mothers mistakes and is poviding for he family. She always says, no one will ever know what it feels like to be hungry and lonely. I can understand where she is comming from.
